VEASY YOGA

VANESSA

Yoga Therapist · Teacher Trainer (E-RYT 500)
Specialising in nervous system regulation, therapeutic care & senior mobility

Vanessa has been sharing yoga since 2010, with over 2,000 hours of dedicated training (ongoing) across multiple disciplines, including:

- Yoga Therapist ( Malaysian Associations of Yoga Instructors )
- Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher  ( Advanced level by Malaysian Ministry of Education )
- Ashtanga Yoga Teacher ( E-RYT500 Yoga Alliance from India )
- Yoga Nidra ( Yoganaga Healing Rishikesh, India )
- Meditation Teacher ( Malaysian Ministry of Education )
- Pranayama Teacher ( Malaysian Ministry of Education )
- Ayurveda Therapist ( Malaysian Associations of Yoga Instructors )

The work is rooted in a simple understanding—that the body and mind do not need to be pushed, but supported in returning to balance.

Sessions are slow, attentive, and highly personalised, combining breathwork, mindful movement, and restorative practices such as yoga nidra to support nervous system regulation.

Support is also offered for physical conditions such as back pain, sciatica, posture imbalances, cervical tension, and digestive-related concerns. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, the approach views the body as an integrated system where breath, alignment, and awareness work together.

Alongside this, work with seniors focuses on maintaining mobility and independence through safe, adapted practices that respect the body’s natural pace.

Teaching continues to evolve through ongoing study and personal sadhana, including regular return to Rishikesh for deeper immersion in traditional yogic practices, integrated with a modern, practical understanding of wellbeing.

As a teacher trainer, mentorship is offered to yoga instructors, with emphasis not only on technique, but on awareness, responsibility, and sensitivity in teaching.

At the heart of the work is a quiet intention—to create space for people to soften, breathe, and return to themselves.

VEASY YOGA / MY JOURNEY

My Journey with Yoga

The path into yoga began in 2010 through movement and curiosity.

At first, the practice was physical—structured, disciplined, and form-driven. Over time, it became something quieter: a process of listening rather than doing.

Through lived experience of imbalance and recovery, yoga gradually shifted from practice to support system—leading toward deeper study in therapy, breathwork, meditation, and nervous system awareness.

Ongoing training and regular return to Rishikesh continue to shape and refine this understanding.

What is shared today comes from both structured study and lived integration—guided by the understanding that the body carries its own intelligence when given space and attention.

VEASY YOGA / WHAT IS OFFERED

What Is Offered (Services)

Work is centred around supporting nervous system regulation, physical wellbeing,
and inner balance through personalised yoga therapy.

Sessions may include:

Nervous system regulation for stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
Breathwork practices
(pranayama)
Deep rest and sleep support (yoga nidra)
Gentle movement for recovery and awareness
Pain and posture support (back, sciatica, cervical tension)
Digestive and gut-related support through yogic practices
Senior mobility and functional movement care

Each session is adapted individually, based on capacity, condition, and need.

APPROACH / PHILOSOPHY

Approach

The work is not based on intensity or achievement.

It is based on observation, safety, and awareness.

The body is not approached as something to be corrected, but as something to be understood.

When space is created for slowing down, the nervous system begins to reorganise itself naturally.

In this process, breath becomes regulation.
Movement becomes awareness.
Stillness becomes integration.

The role of the session is to support this process without force.

Wendy
Certified Hatha Yoga Instructors

Wendy is a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor graduated from Mayi Yoga Academy.

She started practice Hatha yoga since year 2008 while she was still working with corporate company.

Wendy decided to develop deeper knowledge of yoga by immersing herself into the study and practice of eight limbs of yoga. She found yoga is an amazing path towards the unity of body, breath and mind. She believes yoga is a form of therapy that works on the physical, mental, emotional and vitality of being. She has been teaching in 3 different centers/kindergartens

KN Yip
Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor

KN Yip, a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor graduated from MAYI Yoga Academy, he does suffer from lower back pain since preschool due to contact sports which has provided him precious chance to truly appreciate the value of health at a very young age.

He got to know about yoga in his teens while reading a local newspaper and came across to a yoga-related article that mentioned yoga practice could help to heal chronic back pain.

Since year 2005, he started to practice yoga actively and consistently. He has attended multiple yoga classes and workshops to enrich his experience as a yoga practitioner and planning to focus more on alignment and therapeutic aspects of yoga.

Yoga practise has also exposed him to different religions, say for example, kabbalah, christianity, sufism, buddhism, jainism, hinduism etc. All these religious teaching although has different practical mode, but it never deviates from the value of love, kindness, compassionate and forgiving.

He sees not the differences but only similarities, and he believes that yoga can help one to understand their respective religious teaching better without losing their own identity. Yoga or yog as its name suggests is to unite and, hence, humanity is all about unity at all levels regardless of our exising differences.

Joanne
